Akira

Akira is about a year old (born approximately January 2024) and she has all the best traits of a young, beautiful tabby cat. She likes to be held and carried and she will cuddle with you if you’re sitting down and call her over. She purrs a lot and squeaks more than meows which is very endearing. She also loves to play and particularly enjoys catnip toys and kick sticks. Akira was born to a stray cat and was the runt of the litter. Her rescuer didn’t think she would make it through the winter so he brought her in from the outside on the first cold day this year and he has asked us to help find a new home for her where she can spend all her days inside and never have to worry about the cold or the dangers of the outside world. She loves to be brushed and also enjoys having her belly rubbed and she loves to knead. She has done well in her foster home with other cats and also with the ferrets in the home as she knows not to play too rough with them. We don’t know how she is with dogs but with a slow, proper introduction, this may be fine. There are no children in her foster home but as long as the kids understand cat boundaries, it may be a good fit. Akira enjoys sleeping both with people and with other animals.
