Alexandria

Mariah (shorthair) and Alexandra (longhair) are 3 year old sisters that sadly had to be returned to Whiskers due to their owner facing insurmountable health issues. It was some sweet serendipity that they were able to return to the foster home that cared for them as kittens! These girls are just the sweetest kitties and their affectionate personalities are a testament to how much their owner loved them. We know they are lucky cats and another home with just as much love is out there for them! Mariah is a lap cat! Her love is intense and she likes to be actively pet and hugged while she purrs and rolls around in your arms and gives you kisses. She is a bit of a daredevil; her favorite hobby is finding the highest point of a room, so she kindly requests that there be a super tall cat tree in her future home... or for there to be space on your bookshelf for her to scale it! Alexandra is a gentle giant with extra toes (polydactyl) giving her front paws the appearance of wearing mittens! She absolutely loves being talked to (she even trills back sometimes), getting pets, and will also give kisses and head butts, though isn't quite as much of a lap cat as her sister. She is a big girl at almost 17lbs! Please note that Alexandra requires some additional care. Her future family should work with their vet to identify a healthy weight loss plan for her and her luxurious fluffy fur needs to be brushed regularly to avoid matting. The sisters have not met dogs or children, and have lived their adult lives just the two of them and their human. As such, they may be best as your only cats, but may be okay with a slow introduction to a very relaxed cat, or okay with a future kitten addition. They MUST be adopted together! Approx.
