Alphie Coolgirl

Alphie Coolgirl is one of my favorite rescue stories this year. She has defied the odds and has risen to the occasion of beating the mean streets of homelessness and abuse that can sometimes fall upon the homeless community cats in our valley. In July I was alerted of a situation deemed the "Phoenix Horder Horror House'" where a population of homeless animals had gotten so out of control that people of the community were tired of not receiving help and decided to do "population control" on their own. Also, they faced elements that were difficult for homeless cats to overcome such as hunger, weather, and dangers taken of a big city. If they weren't being killed from that, they were being taken out by not-so-nice individuals... let's just leave it at that. I went out to this property with a dear trapping friend and we, over time, have pulled 54 cats and kittens from this property and have worked hard to get them into Sanctuaries where they can be safe and get fixed so that the population can be controlled. Alphie was one of the kittens I felt could be rehabilitated and I have spent the last 3 months doing just that. She was the 1st of the kittens to trust me enough to come to me for food, She showed that she was braver than the adults that we had and she was just a tiny, sick little thing at that time. I have worked with her so she could learn that people are good and that we can be trusted, ( the right ones anyway). In al those efforts she has blossomed into this charismatic, charming, brave, adventurous loving soul that deserves the very best of the best. She is finally ready for her forever home, and ready to bond with her new family. This little bundle of joy loves to explore, cuddle with you in bed, give the best kisses, and she loves a good flick while you lay in bed after a long day. She has the most contagious spirit and I will cheer the day she meets you because she has defied all the odds to make it this far and her story is meant for the books!
