My Story

Looking for a special kitty to brighten up your home? Amethyst was surrendered to the shelter. We have quickly learned that she is an affectionate girl with no limit to giving entertainment and meows to our feline staff. Amethysts lovely orange tabby stripes are eye catching against her white fur. Amethyst is eagerly looking for a home where she can run free and chase her tail as thats her favorite thing to do. She loves keeping up a steady conversation with us as we work. Although we talk back, Amethyst is not satisfied until she has the last meow. Amethyst also would not be opposed to another feline friend as she came in with three brothers. If Amethyst sounds like the glamorous girl for you, let us set you up with an appointment! Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Cats and kittens 6 months of age or older have also been tested for FIV (please verify testing status for kittens under 6 months of age at the time of adoption). Adoptions are done in 30 minute appointment slots, so call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822 to schedule an appointment or to request more information regarding a specific animal. Please leave a detailed message if team members are not at their desk. Messages are returned by close of business day, Monday through Friday. Adopters can prepare for their appointment by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit. Kittens up to 1 year of age are $75; 2 years of age up to 9 years are $50; and 10 years or older are $25.
