Anatoly came to the shelter under 5 pounds (half his body weight) with severely infected wounds. He got immediate vet care at arrival and started the long process of healing. Unfortunately, the wounds were so bad it took months of antibiotics and vet visits before he finally fully recovered.
His front leg was injured at arrival and due to the nature of the injury, unable to fully heal. He limps on that leg but the vet felt no treatment was necessary at this time. It could cause issues in the future.
Anatoly is a wonderful cat. He's chill and has a calm demeanor. He loves people and will likely be a velcro cat. He loves belly rubs and doesn't mind being held. He is quite chatty and always purring.
He hasn't had interactions with cats but didn't seem phased by the ones in his foster home.
He'd do well in any home.
