My Story

Annie was dropped off in the middle of the night at Mom and her husband's place in Silverton around 8 years ago. My mother loved and welcomed her into their home. My mother has dementia and is moving from a residential independent facility to an assisted care/memory care facility. She could not take her cat, Annie. I welcomed Annie in our home in June hoping to find her a forever home to enjoy her senior years. My husband and I are embarking on a year travel and cannot take Annie. When I had Annie's teeth cleaned in September the vet indicated Annie is possibly around 13 years old. She is healthy and feels frisky in the morning. During the warm months Annie runs to the back door ready to spend the day in the backyard soaking up the sun. She loves to sit on my husband's lap and is always ready to be brushed. She is a little stinker and does not enjoy having her nails clipped. Since we are now in the winter months, she still enjoys time outdoors when the sun is shining. Her favorite spot this winter seems to be in front of the fire. Annie is spayed. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and is both loving and independent. She is still playful. I just breaks my heart to find a home for Annie. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement. Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
