Astraea

Astraea (uh-stray-uh) is a loving and affectionate patch tabby girl (estimated DOB: 8/27/2019). Astraea is a people animal; she warms up to strangers almost immediately and loves to snuggle up for some cuddles and pets. She also has a playful side and enjoys chasing her toys around the house and playing with her human. We rescued Astraea and her five newborns on the far southside of Chicago. She gave birth in an alley right next to a dumpster, and a concerned resident reached out to us for help. This poor girl lived a tough life outside; and because she is so trusting and full of love, we believe that she was a former house cat who was abandoned. Her babies have been adopted and now it is her turn to find the home she deserves. She would welcome being the only cat in the home as she tends to get irritated with dogs and other cats!
