Bert's journey has brought him to us from another shelter, so we don't know much about his past. What we do know is that change has been tough on him, and since arriving here, he's been nervous and shy. But that doesn't mean he won't blossom in the right home! With patience, love, and a quiet space to feel safe, Bert has the potential to open up and show his true personality. He just needs someone willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves. Are you the special person Bert has been waiting for? Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us.
