My Story

Meet Binx! This sweet girl came into the shelter as a stray cat so we don't know anything about her past. But her finder describes her as a friendly, affectionate, playful, lap cat that loves attention. And we couldn't agree more. Binx will come right up to the front of her cage wanting love. You can pet her almost all over the place but avoid her belly, that's her no-no square. If you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt. **the below two methods are slower than visiting us** Call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us ([email protected]) for more information about a pet. We are often on the line with another client, but we return voice mail and emails within 24 hours. All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
