She is a cat's cat more so than a people's cat - by this we mean that she prefers the company of other cats over humans. She is not the kind of cat that is immediately going to trust you and we have to be honest about that. She's okay being in a space with you but she does not thrive on human interaction. She's content to have cat friends - that's just her being her. We know it will take someone special to give Bridget a home, one where it won't matter if she's not a lap cat, not a cat that wants your attention, nor one that wants to cuddle and play. It will be someone special that wants to give a good cat a home, a safe space, with windows to lounge in and beds to sleep on. A person that is okay with just sharing their space with a cat and holding out hope that maybe someday, trust will be earned. We know that person is out there. Over the years Bridget has learned to trust us where we can hand her a dish of wet food and take it from her when she's done. She allows us in her space. She still doesn't want us to touch her, and we're okay with that because we know she's happy indoors and with her fellow cat companions here at the rescue. But, we also know that every cat deserves a chance and for every cat, there is a person out there for them. So we post her in hopes of finding that person.
