My Story

ABOUT BURR! Meet Burr, our goofy two-year-old black kitty! This cutie boy was brought to HAP for a routine neuter, but our vet team quickly realized he had a major urinary blockage. Our vet preformed the necessary surgeries to unblock him and save his life! Now Burr is all healed up and ready to find his forever home! Burr is a super social boy, who LOVES to yell at his human friends until they stop everything and give him ALL the attention! Burr loves to play, either by himself or with one of his many humans. He also knows when it's time to settle down for a snooze in the sun! The only affection Burr does not like is kisses, he will protest heavily! *Burr has had urinary blockages, and so he MUST be kept on prescription urinary food to help prevent blockages from occurring again. We recommend that he get regular vet visits, as well. **Burr isn't the biggest fan of cats and we don't know how he'd do with a dog, so we recommend he go to a home where he is the only pet. We think he'd do well with calm children. ***If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
