Well, Here's the Window-Well Wonders of the World. SHADOW, ROMEO, CALI are Among the Cutest Kittens Ever! Yes, I am biased because I helped rescue these 5 purr-fecto babies. In early August, mother & daughter Last Hope dog adopters & Thrift Shop customers too..asked for help with a Mama cat who gave birth in the window well that connected the 90+ year old Mom's swimming pool deck & sliding glass door where her dog LIZZIE would go in & out of her Syosset yard. They were so afraid LIZZIE would hurt the Mom & newborn kittens. We set up shop to trap Mom first, and then grab her babies. The task was tricky because the babies could wiggle under the deck out of sight & out of reach. Meanwhile, Mom was eluding the trap & acted as if she knew our plan. Eventually, Mama went into the trap, and Kim , their soon-to-be foster Mom , grabbed the 5 kittens from under the deck. Mama Milkshake, as the tuxedo Mom was called, nursed her quintet in a cage Kim's house. She was a great Mom but definitely feral. This trait showed more after her babies were weaned and taken from her. Mama Milkshake did not tolerate captivy at all.. She was released to her old haunts where she has feeders after her spay, and recovery. NOW for offspring- The Kittens are Super Friendly & quite accustomed to dogs because they grew up with Kim's 2 Golden Retrievers - ENZO a puppy & HOOVER a senior citizen. They PURR, PLAY, SMOOZE - non-stop. CALI is a classic calico. SHADOW is a handsome Russian Blue mix boy & ROMEO the tuxedo is the Casanova of Kittens- a Real Lover Boy. They are absolute treasures because KIM loved & socialized them so "window WELL".
