My Story

Meet Catty, a one-year-old male cat with a heart full of love and affection! Catty is the definition of a cuddle bug-he'll happily snuggle up with you, purring away as he soaks up all the attention he can get. He's a people cat through and through, always eager to be around his humans and share his sweet nature! Catty did go to a home briefly and would accept pets and then swat and nip. Threshold was met, so keep an eye on his body language, we all have limits! While Catty is a total snuggle expert, he's not a fan of dogs, so he'd do best in a home without canine companions. When it comes to other cats, he can be a bit selective, as he previously lived in a home where he didn't get along with other felines. A slow and thoughtful introduction to potential feline housemates would be essential to make sure he's comfortable and safe. If you're looking for a loving companion who will brighten your days with his affection, Catty might just be the perfect kitty for you! If you'd like to meet our available animals, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
