Cheeks

Meet Cheeks Cheeks received his name from the absolutely adorable and certainly squishable cheeks he has. This handsome and sweet man was found on a cold day in Philadelphia with a face and eye injury. He was brought to the hospital by a Good Samaritan so he can receive the care he needed. We agreed to take in cheeks to finish out his medication and vet him while we searched for a forever home. We neutered the big man, microchipped, vaccinated and he is felv/fiv negative. Cheeks completed all of his medication and despite the permanent scarring on his eye, he healed nicely. Cheeks has come out of his shell in the few weeks he has been with us and has started to play and explore. He is SUPER sweet to humans (though he can get overwhelmed at times and need a minute to regroup (relatable)). He has let us cuddle him, carry him around, and has been a perfect gentleman for his treatments. In the office, he enjoys sitting on the desk to keep you company while working. He likes to be involved in everything you do. He is curious but terrified of the other pets in the office. We are letting him observe and take his time with introductions. He is more afraid of dogs than cats and has started to co-mingle with the office cats. Cheeks is still pretty avoidant of the dogs so we are not sure how he would do with dogs in the long run. He seems like he would do fine with other cats as long as his adopters understood he will take time to adjust and need slower introductions. The big man is deserving of a loving home with rooms to explore and human companionship. We would prefer the adopter to keep Cheeks as an indoor only cat.
