My Story

Meet Chinagain, a five year old Maine Coon mix. Chinagain is a big boy weighing around 12 pounds, we aren't sure what breeds make him up but are guessing he has some Maine Coon in there. He came to us in pretty rough shape after being hit by a car. This broke his jaw which our vet had to fix during his neuter and since then he has been slowly recovering. The road to recovery is long and we would love to see him to it in a forever home. He does still have stitches in and will need a follow up with our vet which we will schedule for you. Chinagain is a very sweet boy who loves attention and to play with toys. He is ready to give head butts and steal your heart. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854. Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT??That's where you and the pet make sure you're a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption. It's a win-win for everyone! Just ask our front desk staff about how it works.??Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet??Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/ ?Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration.
