My Story

Meet Chippy, a charming, chatty lover boy! He is approximately 7 years old. This one-eyed tabby loves to cuddle, give kisses, and play. His favorite things include treats (he’s not picky!), cardboard boxes, and toys that make sounds. Rescued from life on the streets in need of medical care, Chippy has transformed in his foster home into a sleek, friendly gentleman. Though nervous in new situations, he’s shown amazing progress in overcoming his fears with positive reinforcement (treats!). Once he feels safe, Chippy is an easygoing guy who rarely gets overstimulated. He’s comfortable having his paws and even his belly touched. His favorite activity is snuggling up with his people for movies or TV marathons and showering them with kisses. When he’s not cuddling, he enjoys a fun play session with a wand toy or curling up for a nap at the top of a cat tree. Chippy would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and would likely enjoy having a cat friend to bond with. As a former street cat, Chippy is still learning that he’ll always have enough to eat. He’ll need to be in a separate room when you’re preparing or eating especially tempting foods. Also, he was noted to have a Class II heart murmur, but he was able to undergo general anesthesia on two occasions with no problems and has shown no symptoms. What Chippy’s looking for in a home: - He can get nervous, so he needs a kind and patient guide to help him feel comfortable with new experiences. - He has lots of energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time. - He feels at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - He needs to live indoors only. - He has a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to his age. - He has no known history with dogs. - He has no known history with children. All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting Chippy! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
