My Story

Cody is a very special boy. At 2.5 years old, he is young, vibrant and healthy with a great appetite and impeccable litter skills. Has zero aggression and is happy to be picked up. He loves snuggling up on your lap, purring his heart out and learning to play with his feather stick. Cody is soul cat material. The kind of boy that stares into your eyes and completely gives his heart to you. Because he came from a questionable living situation prior to us he seems like he would really thrive in a calm household without a lot of commotion. He seems like he would be okay with other cats and seems to prefer female (human) energy. He is a total love bug. Currently in foster care in Hollywood. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Please send us an email at [email protected] to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
