My Story
Meet Compass, the Fearless Explorer!
Don't let Compass's blindness fool you--this 25-week-old black cat is a whirlwind of energy and adventure! His name might be hilariously ironic, but Compass navigates life with ease, proving that sight is overrated when you've got a great sense of smell and an even better attitude.
Compass is incredibly sweet and endlessly adaptable. Whether it's chasing toys, discovering hidden treasures (like catnip--his absolute favorite!), or finding the comfiest spot for a nap, he does it all with confidence and charm. His upbeat spirit is contagious, making him the perfect companion for anyone who loves a little mischief and a lot of love.
He's currently fostered with other cats including his friends Dewdrop and Sootsprite, but he can be adopted into a home as an only cat or with friends! He has not been dog tested, but we think for proper introductions he would have no issues!
This brave and energetic boy doesn't see obstacles, only opportunities for fun. If you're looking for a loyal, spunky, and affectionate addition to your family, Compass is ready to light up your life. Take him home and let the adventures begin!

About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered.We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
