Cowardly Lion (Combo Tested)

Cowardly Lion is an adorable 12-year old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on February 4, 2025 along with his companion (Scarecrow) after they were found on Gun Club Road in the Lowell Ohio area. This sweet senior citizen has a brown tabby long-haired coat, white paws, a long fluffy tail, and a cute face with a white stripe on his forehead, golden eyes, a pink nose, a white muzzle, and long white whiskers. Cowardly Lion was given vaccinations, flea treatment, and Pyrantel wormer on February 4, 2025. He weighed 11.7 lbs that day. Cowardly Lion was also combo tested on February 4th and is negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworm. These photos of Cowardly Lion were taken on February 6th and February 10th. We admit that he isn't looking his most handsome self at the present time since his long coat was very matted when he came in, and he is sporting a 'lion cut' after his coat was groomed. We hope that potential adopters can visualize the transformation when his coat had grown back in and how handsome he will be in a few months. Cowardly Lion has a sweet, rather demure, personality and is very friendly. We've learned that Cowardly Lion is good with other cats, and he enjoys attention from his people friends including children. We don't know how he feels about canine friends. Since Cowardly Lion was not reclaimed, we will have him neutered and find him a fabulous home (pending an examination by a veterinarian to ensure that he can safely undergo anesthesia/surgery).
