My Story

Meet Little Daphne! This petite 2-year-old brown tabby may be small in size, but she's big on love! Found in a large cat colony, Daphne immediately showed her friendly nature-so much so that she tried to dive headfirst into a food bag while we were trapping! Daphne had a rough start, including getting hurt from another stray cat, but she's all healed up and ready for a fresh start. She's a bit cautious around other cats, so slow introductions would help her feel safe. But when it comes to people? She's a total sweetheart who loves to be held and cradled like a baby. Could you be the one to give Little Daphne the forever home she deserves? --------------- ADOPTION FEES Altered kitten - $150 Pair of altered kittens - $220 Cat 6 months or older - $75 Adoption fees cover the cost of care and veterinary services. All adoptable cats have received: Spay/neuter surgery if over 2lbs Distemper vaccine Rabies vaccine (if over 16 weeks old) De-wormer Veterinary exam Test for FIV and FeLV Microchip ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for. Cat/kitten adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Cat 4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application within 1-3 days. 5. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are: - Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting. - Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting. - If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat. Because we have a limited number of foster homes, we cannot hold cats past adoption. 6.
