Derpy aka Forest Gump

Meet Derpy. My board member Michelle only a couple years ago moved to NY from PA. Where she lived there weren’t rescues like we have here . They had TNR programs and some of the kittens were adopted out but most were thrown back outside . They just didn’t have the ability nor the funding to help much. The "lucky" kittens were basically rehomed . The TNR organization threw him back outside and took his siblings they deemed good enough because Derpy looked different . Derpy was born with crossed eyes and a head tilt . The vets expect his oxygen was cut off during the birthing process, his mom was very young. The neighborhood named him and would call him the “ retarded cat “ and many were mean to him because of it yelling at him and kicking at him to get away . He kind of has the demeanor of Forest Gump if he could be human. He is incredibly special. Derpy has never known life inside until recently but you would never know it! He made biscuits in his bed the first night he came in. He has known a very tough existence being the only kitten left behind in a cruel world and even at times being bullied by other cats . To say Derpy is thankful and appreciative to be in rescue is an understatement . He is incredibly loving and such a precious beautiful gentle soul. He is an expert biscuit maker , loves kids, dogs , other cats and just so content to be in. Anyone who gets the honor of being around him is instantly in love . He has had a full thorough vet exam, neutered, felv/fiv negative and vaccinated.
