My Story

DESCRIPTION Diamond has had a rough life on the streets of Houston. We believe she was attacked by a stray dog before our rescue group was able to find and rescue her. In spite of her condition, Diamond allowed us to pick her up straight off the street and was all purrs -- she knew we were there to help her! Diamond has not been tested around dogs, but she is a street cat from Houston so she has more than likely encountered stray dogs on the street. It is possible a slow introduction to a well-behaved dog may win her over. She lived in a colony of cats so gets along well with other cats. Diamond loves to sleep, she can be a loner at times, we often see her sitting in a pensive, thoughtful state (probably wondering how she got so lucky to be indoors and safe). She is in a wonderful foster home with a loving medical foster who has nurtured her back to being a gorgeous, healthy kitty again. All she needs now is his forever home! Diamond is currently 4 years old, she is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health! She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. The adoption application can be found here: https://shorturl.at/v4FYk Diamond is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along this route.
