My Story

Dixie - Spayed Female. DOB is 5/19/2024. Dixie is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative. Dixie is a SH Brown Tabby. Dixie came to Love A Stray with her siblings (Dolly and Dottie) from a local community where we were asked to help rescue the 3 babies and spayed the Mom. Dixie is in a foster home and her foster Mom writes: When I was first rescued I was a very spicy baby, but that didn’t last long. I very quickly learned that pets are awesome! People aren’t so bad and that being rescued is an amazing thing!! I love my cat toys and my kitty bed and my cat tree. I am very eager to explore and have been around other cats, I get along well with them. Oh, I have also been around a dog and I’m ok with that. He still makes me a little nervous but I am getting braver each time. I am really sweet and have recently learned that nap time with humans is also a really good thing. I am ready to find my forever home with my very own special humans. I am still little, so I just need reassurance and lots of love but I will make a very loyal best friend. I can’t wait to meet you! Dixie's sisters Dolly and Dottie are up for adoption. They are close and would love to be adopted together if you are looking for more than one!! Dixie would sure love to have her very own home and alot of love and a family!! Proper introductions to a new home, family and other pets. If you would like to meet Dixie, or any other of our adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application found on our website at www.loveastraycat.com
