Dory was originally in a non-kill animal control facility, in a small town in our surrounding area. She spent everyday hoping that the next people that walked in for a kitten younger than her or prettier than her would decide to take her home. That family never came. It’s understandable that Dory is a little adverse to humans at first. No one had ever picked her, until now. When we took in Dory she was very skittish in the facility. She was hesitant to new people, but I could see there was an amazing cat hiding in the shyness. So we brought her here to our rescue. She’s been getting used to our facility for a week or two now and from the cat I first met to now, she’s already made some amazing progress. She loves belly rubs and pets. She loves pretending like she’s not obsessed with pets until she can’t stand it anymore and flops onto her side for better pets. She is super sweet and very curious as to what is going on around her! Like we said before, her sweet spot is a belly rub and that wins you a lot of points in her book! She may need a little extra TLC to get her comfortable in a new home and environment, but we’re confident with the right person or family she would learn to trust you and continue to open up and thrive in her home.
Dory’s adoption fee is $200 and she has already been spayed, microchipped, has a rabies and 2 fvrcp vaccines!
