Duke

Duke came from a colony that was in danger of a neighbor wanting to trap the cats and bring them to the shelter. Thankfully one of our trappers lived close by and was able to intervene and help with education and Trap, Neuter and Return. She TNR’d 12 cats but knew she missed 1 after talking to the feeder the day of surgery. She kept trying to get that one but she never came back. A few weeks later, she showed up with 7 kittens. They are at risk of being hit by car since it's close to the service road and one of the neighbor's was already upset about the number of cats, so our volunteer is slowly taming them for adoption. Duke was the second one to come around. Once he got a taste of pets, there was no stopping him. Now when people walk pass our adoption area in the store, they hear this kitten screaming and think he's in distress. No, it's just Duke screaming for someone to come pet him. He's so chatty! If you want a cat that talks back, he's your guy! If you'd like to meet me, stop by Jefferson Feed (corner of Jefferson Hwy. and Central Ave.). Adoption Fee is $100/each or $150/pair. We like our kittens to have friends so we want a pair adoption if you have no other pets unless we know a specific kitten prefers to be alone. All kittens are Spayed/Neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and microchipped.
