My Story

This dapper older gentleman with his salt-and-pepper toupee and soft, fluffy white coat is a regular Don Juan of love! He just wants to be close to you—lying on you or next to you—as long as you’re willing to sit still. He purrs constantly, loves making biscuits and gives kisses. He can be vocal when he’s separated from you. Edgar has no teeth so he occasionally drools and sometimes his tongue sticks out which just adds to his charm. He seems to like being brushed. Although a senior kitty, Edgar still gets his “play” on so be sure he has a variety of toys. He often stares at them for a long time before pouncing. He’s started playing fetch (oftentimes he plays with it first before returning) with a soft gray toy (included) that he’s learned how to carry without teeth. As much as he likes his wet food, he’s going to need to stay active! He loves cardboard scratchers. Edgar has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Please speak to your vet about FIV. In many cases, cats with this specific condition do not need to be separated from other cats. Cats who test positive for FIV can live fulfilling and happy lives like any other cat. Additionally, it’s important to note the primary mode of transmission for FIV is through bite wounds – and Edgar has no teeth. Edgar has 3 wishes for the “purrfect” life: a warm lap, a heated bed, and endless supplies of yummy wet food! Edgar is currently with his foster mom and meet and greets can be scheduled by contacting us at [email protected] or (505) 255-0544. Edgar is a DLH white male who is approximately 12 years old.
