Elara

Elara is shy but so very sweet. Although nervous at first, she still gently squeaks for head scratches and pets. She may need some time and patience before her full personality reveals itself, but her sweet and loving nature is apparent right away. It will be important to start Elara out in a small space with few hiding places or it will be her intent to hide before she gets to know you correctly. Develop a relationship with her there (a bathroom works well) over the first few days and then let her out into more space. Meet Elara at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4pm on Saturday during our weekly adoption event. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. Apply to adopt to be the first to schedule a meet and greet. They should be ready for adoption by 2/1. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
