My Story

Hello, I'm Elm. I'm a large cow-cat in purrrrfect health. I'm really intelligent, have super expressive eyes, and a big personality. Until recently, my sister Maple and I shared an apartment with our beloved dad who took great care of us. Sadly, he got too old to live there anymore and we ended up in the foster system. This hit me a lot harder than it did my sister; I really loved him, and I miss him a lot. It took a couple of weeks but now Maple and I are really comfortable at the foster house. My favorite things are: a really tall perch, canned food, snuggling with my sister, and horizontal scratchers. I dig when drinking water so you might want to get a raised dish or fountain. I'm very playful for my age and love when my human engages in play with me every day. I'm really tall and when I get really excited, I'll do my signature flailing pounce of joy. Also, being brushed and getting neck pets really get my loud motor rumbling. My ideal home would be quieter and include my sister Maple. While we mostly do our own thing, we love to snuggle up together for naps and I give her my cat treats. If that's not possible, I could get along with a quiet and patient cat or live as an only cat. I'm not the right cat for you if small children are likely to not respect my boundaries. You'd never guess how old I was if you met me; in a loving home, I can live another decade! I'm hoping for a furever home and a human I can love as purely and fully as my last dad. Currently fostered with: Maple. I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age. Adoption Fee: $230 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you'd like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking "Apply for Adoption".
