My Story
* Feisty, adventurous, playful
* OK with a dog in adults-only home
* Needs a playmate
Meet Emerald (aka Emmy or Sassy)! Emerald is one of the Gemm Kittens, rescued from the outdoors when she was just a day old. Now, at 4 months old, this gorgeous little tortie has grown into a petite, feisty spitfire. Independent and adventurous, Emmy is definitely filled with “tortitude”! What’s tortitude you ask? Tortie kitties often have an aloof, independent, spunky attitude. This sassy girl will always let you know what’s on her mind!
She loves playing with her brothers and sister, and she’s a big fan of all kinds of toys—laser pointers, wand toys, ball tracks, cat tunnels, and catnip mice. Emmy enjoys climbing high up in the cat trees and watching birds through the window or on cat TV. While she doesn’t like being picked up, she does enjoy pets when she’s not busy playing and loves being brushed. And very occasionally, she’ll take a break and lay down next to you, so she can have more pets!
Her unique coloring gives her a serious look, and someone even said she resembles a tiny hyena! Despite her fierce appearance, she’s definitely a cutie with a lot of kitten energy. Emmy assuredly needs a kitty playmate and would be a perfect match to be adopted with one of her siblings. Since she doesn’t like being picked up, a home without children would be best. Although she’s never met a dog, she would likely be fine with a proper introduction.
She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. Apply for Emmy (and one or more of her siblings) today!
