A perfect condo or apartment princess, she will help you master all of life's anxieties and challenges! She loves to snuggle with you on the sofa, is not too scared of new visitors in the house, and still a young girl that plays with toys and follows around to be a helper and your best buddy! FancyS was a young mom to 4 kittens (HarryS n ClaudiaS, CindyS and BeverlyS) in the apartment complex bushes. Taken in by a loving family with kittens, she was a doting mom! When babies were weaned, she did "tough love" and looked for independence since family was caring for the babies too! Initially planned a fixed outdoor girl (clipped ear), she worked hard to be indoor socialized and was brought into rescue! FancyS has very soft & shiny black short fur, and will greet you each morning with a stretched paw to say "hello"! Not a free feeder, so just her morning and night food each day (prone to be a sexy curvy girl). She is very clean with her grooming and surroundings and sandbox! Not overly needy, but likes a radio on when home is empty, awaiting your return to greet you with a happy trot! She is not overly vocal, but will communicate and loves being talked to! A confident luvbug, but not a fan of being carried for a long time and wants down with all feet on the floor! FancyS is occassionally underfoot, so not good for too much of a mobility challenged person. She tolerates passive cats but is a dominant and doesn't want to share you! She is NOT tolerant of any barky dogs in the house! Will hide around young kids as too high energy and loud, but great to grow up with behaved kids over 8 yrs old and will probably bond with all in a calm family! Petting and snuggles from all as long as the center of attention somewhere! Well behaved and polite, she understands a stern "No" learning the house rules. She aims to please, so needs positive pets and words not long after scolding so doesn't feel you are mad with her! She travels well in a comfy covered crate with small sandbox and is flexible with different surroundings as long a you are with her (so going to visit family and staying in a guest room is no problem)! She does give love nips occassionally with a proper pressure, but don't panic if she does it to warn you she needs a quiet nap! She will need a few days to warm up when adopted as taking in smells and sounds and learning all her new peoples, so allow some space, but encourage with petting and talking and she will warm up fast! She will be at our Petco in Fair Oaks (corner of Hazel and Madison Ave.) on Saturdays, after 1:30pm until 4pm, however encourage a friendly "interested in inquiry" filled out ahead of Sat. to be sure considered earliest on her list! Also if you need a different timeframe or date to meet this pretty princess, we can arrange it as we moved a bit far away. Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays from noon to 4pm.
