My Story

Meet our girl Farrah Faucet!!! Farrah is an easygoing cat who lets you enjoy your space. She is simply happy to be in your presence. This girl loves to be pet and will look deeply into your eyes. She gives you elevator butt even when she's laying down, which is cute but also does not look comfortable! But hey, she loves butt scratches, so why not. Farrah is a funny kitty. She is very talkative and if you meow back to her, she will stay in a conversation for seemingly as long as you want. She is so happy to see us when we come home, and will meow for pets. She is more on the shy side, but opens up more and more everyday. Farrah would do well in a mellow household and she would do just fine with someone who is in the office full time. She loves her space, but she also loves to be your companion when you're home. She is in a foster home with a small terrier and does well with it. She would likely be okay in a home with dogs, as long as they respect her space. Currently in foster care in Mid City Los Angeles. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Please send us an email at [email protected] to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
