My Story

- She was living outside with 14 other kitties who were mostly being bred and thrown outside when they weren't tiny kittens anymore. (According to the trapper.) They were all named after famous authors. (An A was added at the end of her name to make it a little less masculine) - She takes a few minutes to trust you but once she does, she LOVES head scratches! She loves butt scratches on her terms. (We kept telling her that her tiny baby hisses were not very intimidating but she insisted she was a tough lady.) Occasionally she does swat but she never once used her claws, I called it a love punch. -She's very fearful of being picked up but again, not mean, just scared. She is so sweet and silly with the best personality deep down. She adores toy mice and would carry them into bed with her. She loves to sleep in hidey houses. She loves gravy foods and wand toys. -She seems to adore other cats and I suspect she'd do fine with polite dogs. She will thrive in a quiet home with a patient person. Hopefully her family will find her soon! This cat is waiting for it's Forever Home! Email [email protected] with a question or better yet, complete an application for quickest consideration. (Application: https://www.ctcatconnection.org/adoption-application/). Please consider fostering a cat or dog by applying on our website. A cat's behavior in the shelter is usually not what it will be like in your home; if the cat is nervous, anxious, or agitated, please know that a shelter is a very stressful place for a cat. Kitten Policy: It is important to understand that the socialization of kittens with other animals as playmates is important for their development. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion. Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit. If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care. Fill out an application, which can be found at https://www.ctcatconnection.org/get-involved/
