My Story

Gravy is a very sweet boy who was returned to Purr Partners after he was found to be having difficulty breathing. We discovered that his adopter had been burning essential oils in a very small apartment, and it was interfering with Gravy's breathing. Did you know essential oils can be toxic to cats? After Gravy was taken out of that atmosphere, he starting breathing better within a day or two, and now you wouldn't know that he had ever had any difficulty breathing at all. While he was at the Emergency Clinic, though, he was diagnosed to have a heart defect that he had had since birth. Gravy is on two medications that are given two times a day, and he is a champ at taking his meds. This past spring, he had an ultrasound at his vet's office, and his heart looks better than it ever has. Gravy is active like any other cat and runs up and down the stairs with no issues. He loves to lie on the windowsill or somewhere up high and look out at the world going by. Gravy lives with many other cats and gets along beautifully with all of them, and he absolutely loves to be petted. Gravy would love to have his own family to share his life with, but please, no essential oils, and he will need to be monitored for his heart condition. For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/
