My Story

*** If you have any questions or would like to meet any of our adoptable cats, email [email protected]. Please include a cell number and check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a timely response. Meet Hot Potato! This adorable 2-year-old boy is looking for his forever home. He was sadly abandoned with several other cats outside the doors of NAWS. After being let down by his people, it took him a little time to trust us, but he is now showing his fun, quirky and lovable personality. Hot Potato is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite. He is very curious about everyone that walks by and will chat with almost everyone - stop and interact with him and before you know it, you will be in the middle of a full back-and-forth conversation! He begs for attention and will plop down on to his side for some pets and rubs. He is good with being held. Hot Potato would do best with an experienced adopter - he still has occasional moments where he hisses if startled, but as his trust in us grows, they are becoming more infrequent. He likes toys and likes to play, but is still learning his social skills and can play a bit rough. He is the cutest boy - shaped quite like a potato with large cheeks and eyes that will intently stare at you. We adore him and we know you will too! Want to help care for him while he waits to find his forever home? You can be a "Sponsor!" Click on the "sponsor" button on this profile and your one-time donation will be used for vital everyday essentials such as his food, litter and medical care! Thank you for helping save lives! All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
