My Story

ABOUT JOY Joy is a two-year-old dilute tortie with the cutest winky face. Joy came to HAP from a local rescuer and cat colony caretaker who noticed Joy was too sweet for the streets. Joy took no time warming up in the shelter and has been nothing but a sweetheart to all staff and visitors. While Joy has previously lived with and tolerated dogs, she is not the biggest fan of fellow felines and would do best as the only cat in the home. The ideal home for Joy is one looking for an affectionate cat to snuggle with. Her rescuer reported that Joy loves to be brushed and picked up, making her the perfect cuddlebug. **If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
