Kayla is looking for a home filled with toys, scratching posts and at least one loving human next to whom she can sleep. She’s a super playful, active and affectionate kitty.
Kayla’s foster originally thought she was bonded with brother Pickles. Since they’ve acclimated to the other pets in their foster home, they’ve begun venturing off to do their own things. However, they probably would prefer a home together to give them confidence in a new situation. Both hiss when nervous, but it’s important to note that hissing is a cat’s way of communicating fear — not aggression. With proper introduction, Kayla did well with the other cats and dog in her foster home. (She also has experience with children.)
If you are petting her and stop, sometimes she will give love bites (not hard at all) to remind you to keep petting her. Depending on her playfulness level, you can hold her like a baby in your arms. But if she’s energized, she will try to get down because there is too much to do and too much play!
Kayla has a quirk of growling when she eats. (Her foster suspects this was because of her condition on intake. She and Pickles were found on the side of the road by people walking their dog. Both weighed less than a pound!)
Born in April (estimated), she has been dewormed, fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.
