My Story

Meet Kazi! A rare orange female tabby. Kazi is 4 years old and was surrendered to HSRC because of her owners declining health. Kazi was very upset in the days following her surrender. She was detached, hiding, and not eating. Kazi is slow to warm up and trust, but she’s decided to make the best of her time at HSRC! She loves affection on her terms and has really come out of her shell in the past week. She will jump in your lap for pets and attention but does not appreciate being picked up at the moment. She is learning it’s ok to show love and affection again. She is becoming increasingly outgoing and we believe her true personality is starting to show once more. She is fine with young children as long as they don’t pick her up/carry her around. She does well with other cats!
