Klara is an 8-year-old rescue cat with a soft, flowing coat and an even softer heart. Found abandoned in the Bronx, this sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she’ll be your most loyal cuddle buddy. Her gentle purring is her way of saying "thank you" for every pet and kind word. Klara is FIV positive but in good health, and she can live harmoniously with other cats, although she enjoys her quiet time. We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit and video tour (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat(s) is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full. We will also help with tips and methods for introducing the cat(s) to other pets, if needed.
