My Story

Description of pet ***The Ark of Hope Rescue does not have an adoption fee but we do ask that you consider what The Ark of Hope Rescue does for all the animals that arrive here and make a monetary donation to the rescue. All the animals that come to the rescue have been abused, abandoned or neglected. Most come with large vet bills, the only means that we have to pay our bills, food, treats, bedding, toys...supplies are by your financial donations! Also this rescue is staffed CONPLETELY by volunteers, NO paid salaries here! ***After you read Kringle's biography below, if you are interested in visiting him or any other dog here at The Ark go to: www.arkofhoperescue.org under the filmstrip of pictures you will see "The Adoption Procedure" click on that, scroll down to the bottom and click on “Dog Adoption Application.” Fill it out and attach it to an email ([email protected]) You will get an email confirmation when it is received. Then as soon as possible someone from The Ark will be in touch with you. Or you can call and ask for Dianne @ 301-478-3300. ***Why is this beautiful girl here? This sweet calico kitten was living outside at a mobile home park for a few weeks when a Good Samaritan brought her to the Ark of Hope Rescue when they realized her right front leg was dragging, broken in multiple places. We took her to the emergency vet only to find out that there was nothing that could be done to save her leg, amputation was the only option. She was tested for Feline FIV & Leukemia and was found to be negative. She made it through surgery fine but very scared. The veterinarian believed she was approximately 6 months old, DOB June 2023. We named her Kringles because she arrived at The Ark just a couple days before Christmas and her leg was "krinkled." Once she recuperated from the leg amputation we had her spayed, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and how is extremely loved! Kringles is an incredible sweet kitten but she is still scared of strangers. Kringles really needs a home where she will get all the love and attention a growing kitten needs and should have! She needs to know that not all people are mean, most are kind and protective. Kringles like all the cats at the Ark of Hope Rescue she MUST remain an inside cat, never to be outside where she will not be safe. She would do best in a home that would allow her to lay around or just to cuddle and watch TV with. Se needs a patient family to show her love and a family that she will learn to love in return! Kringles is an amazing kitten who has been through more in her already short little life then any kitty should ever have to endure. She will make the right family the perfect addition to their family! If you may be that person or that family please follow the directions above in the second paragraph and let's make a meet and greet date! You can always call and ask for Dianne for more information 301-478-3300. If you email the adoption application, put the dog's name in the subject line!
