Hi there! My name is Lexi, and Im a beautiful orange tabby with a little splash of white under my chin and on the nape of my neckjust enough to help you tell me apart from my almost-twin sister, Buffy. Im a little over a year old and currently staying at the Animal Rescue Foundation in Terryville, CT, dreaming of my forever home.
I might be a bit shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and love, and Ill show you my playful and sweet side! I absolutely love string toys, laser pointers, andmy favoritesqueeze-ups. Im quick to join the fun and am even great at taking turns when playing with my siblings. After a good play session, I enjoy grooming my sister Buffy or finding a sunny spot in the window hammock to watch the birds fly by.
I came from a hoarding situation along with six other siblings, so Im used to sharing space and getting along with other cats. Id be so happy to go to a home with my sister Buffywere quite the dynamic duobut Im also open to meeting your resident cat if theyre friendly and welcoming.

Adoption fees for adult cats are $250 ($265 if microchipped by us).
What our adoption fees include:
Adult cats have received a wellness exam, fecal exams to test for intestinal parasites, treated for any known/existing conditions to bring them back to health, SNAP tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus), and Heartworm. They have also received flea/tick preventative, have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on both their distemper and rabies vaccinations.
For all applicants:
Please note that our organizations long-time policy is that we do not adopt out our animals to households with children aged six or younger- we just dont know how our individual animals will react around young children who are still learning what it means to respect an animals boundaries. We also do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. Please expect to have at least 2 visits as part of the adoption process at our shelter- its important to us that we are properly matching animals to adopters and preparing our adopters for their special adoption day.
