Introducing Licorice, a charming male kitten with sleek, solid black fur. Born around April 18th, Licorice has an inspiring backstory and a personality full of fun and curiosity. Rescued at only 5 weeks old along with his 5 siblings from the Tarrant County Public Health parking lot, Licorice was found living in the hood of a Corolla. His mom had evaded traps for years, having litter after litter. All 6 babies and their mom were safely trapped. While mom now enjoys a peaceful life on a ranch, Licorice and his siblings have been receiving extra love and care to help them adjust from their spicy beginnings. Playful and Fun: Licorice has come leaps and bounds from his initial shyness. He is playful and the life of the party, always ready for a game and enjoying the company of big cats whom he looks up to. Outgoing and Easy-going: Despite his timid start, Licorice is outgoing and easy-going. He gets along well with other cats and thrives in their company, making him a delightful companion. Favorite Toy: Licorice loves his cotton round pad, turning even the simplest items into a source of joy and entertainment. Are you ready to welcome this sleek black sweetheart into your home? Licorice is eagerly waiting to bring his playful spirit and loving nature to his forever family! ~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Adopting with Jack of All Cats ~ At Jack of All Cats, we prioritize the perfect match over a first-come, first-served approach. We believe that every cat has their person and every person has their cat. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that each feline finds a home where they can thrive. By carefully pairing up matches, we aim to create happy and healthy lives for our kitties, placing them in the best-suited homes. Our adoption process is designed to prioritize compatibility, ensuring a lifelong companionship that brings joy to both our cats and their new families? Prior to adoption, all of our kitties are: Spayed/Neutered Microchipped SNAP FIV/FeLV combo tested Fully up to date on vaccines (rabies, FeLV, FVRCP (plus boosters if needed) Dewormed Current on flea & tick prevention Treated for any other health issues that are present while in our care We are running a special! The local adoption fee for single kittens is $175 and for a pair of kittens is $325 to help cover the above care. While Murray does not have any siblings, we would be able to consider adopting him with another single kitty and honor the pair adoption fee special. Must be 19+ to apply Local Adoption Process: Every local adoption comes with a Whisker Warm-Up Window. This unique foster-to-adopt 2-week period was designed to create a seamless transition for both our kittens and their prospective families. This special time frame allows you to foster our adorable feline friends, giving you the opportunity to experience the joys of their companionship before making a final commitment. During this period, you'll have the chance to assess compatibility, build a bond, and ensure a purr-fect match. Adoption fees are refundable minus a $25 re-listing fee with the safe return of the kitties within the Whisker Warm-Up Window. You may also transfer the fee to do a trial with another kitty. It's our way of ensuring that both you and the kittens have the opportunity to find your happily-ever-after together, stress-free and with full peace of mind. Please note: We are not a shelter. Cats are snuggling with their foster families. Please fill out an application. Jack of All Cats is run only by volunteers who also work other full time jobs. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible, but please be courteous and allow up to 4 days for a response.
