One of a litter of six, London is a Super Special Kitty! All six littermates have fabulous purr-sonalities! Playful, fun-loving, and affectionate! What makes her Super Special? London and her five littermates all tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FELV). FELV is a virus that affects approx. 2% of all cats and kittens. It's contagious but only to other cats. (It is not contagious to any other animals or people, just cats.) It means a weakened immune system that may make her more susceptible to illness and disease. It also may mean a shortened life expectancy, although some FELV cats live for many years without illness. FELV does NOT mean that London and her littermates don't deserve great homes. They absolutely deserve the best and will make wonderful cat companions! We'd love to see two or more adopted together so they have playmates for life! It is generally recommended that FELV+ cats live with only other FELV+ cats as it is contagious through shared food/water bowls and grooming. There is a vaccine to protect cats without FELV; however, no vaccine is 100% effective. The adoption fees for London and her siblings have been waived due to their FELV status.
