Barrington Hills, IL 8 yr old Melanistic female bengal looking for a home - see post for home requirements Luna was born on 7/26/17. We adopted her in 2018. When we adopted her she was an only cat in a no child home and she thrived! She was affectionate purred really loud liked to sleep on my lap and had immaculate litter habits. Then we rescued two more cats. She really got along with one of our cats who was very chill and relaxed but did not get along with the other who attacked her. They eventually had a mutual respect but do not like each other. When we started adopting dogs Luna stopped being affectionate but would only come around when the dogs were in another room. Once we had our first child and she became a toddler that’s when Lunas behavior deteriorated. She began peeing on my daughter’s play area and where she would sit. Doctors found no issues letting us know it’s behavioral. It’s apparent she is highly stressed with our toddler and does not like our dogs or the one cat so we want to rehome her as we know that’s what’s best for her. I absolute love her and have tried everything but it does not help. She needs a home with absolutely no children and if you do have a cat it needs to be a very docile cat who is not aggressive at all. But no guarantee there either. Preferably a home so she can be the only animal will make her super affectionate. She does not like to be held or touched in certain areas around her head but once she warms up to you she will be sleeping on your lap and purring and talking all the time. She eats the same food wet (blue wilderness) and dry (fromm) for the past 6 years. And has never went to the vet. Literally the best cat ever. She has all her claws and it does take several people to cut her nails. Vaccines are up to date. If interested email us at [email protected]
