My Story

As told by her fosters :: We are so lucky to have Lunaberry in our life! After being unceremoniously dumped in the Awbury neighborhood of Philadelphia, she came home with us and almost immediately fell in love with my husband! She was a bit more skittish around me and the kids, but as soon as she realized that she was safe and warm again, she warmed to us, too. Lunaberry is a people cat - don't expect her to be hiding from you - she'll be wherever you are! She follows us around for pets and cuddles. She doesn't avoid our loud bouncy kids either. If I have our 4-year old in my lap, Luna will gladly climb on top of her, too! She's super soft with the cutest little meows and, I think I buried the lead here, she only has one eye! In our house, a one-eyed black cat feels very auspicious- I hope you feel the same! We would've loved to fail at fostering and keep her for ourselves, but Lunaberry needs a house without a cat that already thinks she's in charge. She and our other black cat have been arguing about who is the top cat, so we think Luna needs to live somewhere that she can be in charge of the clowder! If you need a friend for working from home or a tiny heater to sleep in your bed with you this winter, Lunaberry is the cat for you!
