My Story

Mammoth Outgoing, Affectionate, Talkative Big boy Mammoth might just be the friendliest cat you've ever met. This lovebug doesn't discriminate - he loves big humans, and small humans, and cats, and probably dogs, and most likely turtles, and... you get the point! Mammoth's favorite things are receiving pets and following his human around and talking to them about what's going on. When chitchatting, Mammoth keeps his meows quiet, but he's got plenty to say! He'll weave in between your legs to let you know that now is the time for petting. He's not a big fan of laps yet, but he has no issue with being picked up and receiving hugs. Mammoth doesn't really play much, but he's no lazy-bones. Mostly he gets his exercise by roaming around and seeing where the people are in the house. Mammoth's lovebug urges extend to other cats, too. If there are any other kitties around, he'll use his big ol' head to give them headbutts and snuggle up with them. This sweetheart makes friends with everyone he meets, regardless whether they're human or feline! Mammoth's perfect home would be one with kind and friendly people who are ready to reciprocate all of Mammoth's love and affection... and there's a lot of it! Mammoth is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Mammoth is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bestfriends.org/Resources/FAQs-About-Feline-Leukemia-Virus-FeLV All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Mammoth, please email [email protected].
