Meet Margarita! This loving and kind girl may take her time to warm up, but once she feels safe, she’ll shower you with affection. She loves curling up in your bed, claiming the spot next to you for a peaceful night’s sleep. Margarita is full of fun quirks; she has adorable midnight zoomies that will bring a smile to your face, and she’s not shy about letting you know when she’s hungry! She enjoys playful moments with feather wands and crinkly toys, showing off her silly, energetic side. Margarita would thrive in a calm, mellow household where she can feel secure and loved. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate companion, Margarita is ready to make your home her own. Margarita is the kind of cat who will touch your heart deeply, she’s soul-mate material through and through.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.
We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.
We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.
When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
