Mickey

Mickey is a native Egyptian Mau from Cairo Egypt. He's a little over a year old and is very friendly. Our cats have a rich heritage that traces back to the times of the Pharaohs. Their personality is similar to a Bengal cat and they need to be part of the family with lots of attention and love. The word, Mau, means "cat" or "sun" in Egyptian. The Egyptian Mau competes with the Abyssinian for bragging rights as being the most direct descendant of ancient Egyptian cats. The head stripes on this breed resemble a scarab beetle, regarded as Egypt's holy beetle that was often touted as a symbol of the sun.
