Hello! I am Minnie the Mighty - Minnie for short! I have had a very big adventure in my short time in life. I was found in the middle of a neighborhood green space, in Northern Colorado. I was trapped, spayed, vaccinated and taken into foster care. During my time in foster care, I was not particularly fond of the indoor life. I had several caretakers try, for many weeks, to get me used to human touch. I wasn't having it. I was relocated to a mountain home west of Denver, where I was ultimately going to be a protected barn cat, and put to use as a mouser.
However, I had other plans. I slipped out a window, in my sunroom, and was on the lam. I lived a dangerous life, for several months, carousing in the mountains, and living off of whatever I could find. But I sensed that the weather would get cold soon, and I decided to give humans another chance. A nice lady, near my barn home, found me, and I let her bring me indoors. Ever since then, I have decided that it is actually pretty desirable in a warm home, cuddled with my human.
I am now looking for my forever home! My adoption fee is $200.
We will not be considering any homes that are surrounded with hustle and bustle (busy dogs, lots of children, etc). Minnie has been through quite an ordeal and she can still be skittish. She needs a quiet, most likely adults-only home, where she can continue to blossom in her own time. Don't get swept away by her beauty! This is not a beginner's cat. She will be just fine, but will need patience and persistence to grow more confident.
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$200 for kittens (6 months & under)
$125 for cats (older than 6 months)
$75 for senior cats (8 years or older)

Please email
[email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.
