Mocha: A Tale of Love and Hope From Crisis to Comfort Miss Mocha was once living beneath a crisis center house in St. Paul, where the compassionate staff took her under their wing. They showered her with love and care. This endearing kitten was periodically allowed inside the center where she thrived under the attention and affection of many different staff members and residents. Despite their heartfelt wishes to keep her, circumstances didn’t allow them to and they really wanted her to find a permanent home. Thus, they reached out to Last Hope, a dedicated organization committed to finding forever homes for animals in need. When my daughter picked up Mocha, her exact words encapsulated the sentiment shared by everyone who had met this delightful kitten: “She is the sweetest and most outgoing kitten we have had, and she will be adopted very quickly.” Mocha is a Torti, a breed sometimes known for their spirited “tortitude,” but she defies this stereotype with her sweetness. Still a kitten, she combines playful energy with a remarkable affection. She follows us around the house, eager for attention and pets. Her stunning appearance is matched by her soft, silky fur, making her a joy to behold and cuddle. Currently, Mocha is adjusting to life with our resident dog and cats.
