My Story

Meet Mooncake, the sweetest and most adorable 3 month old kitten you will ever encounter! This playful little girl is full of life. She loves to wrestle with her two siblings, zoom around her foster home at top speed, and then collapse into a cozy “kitten puddle” — usually in the lap of her foster mom. Mooncake and her siblings have overcome a tough start in life. Their mother tragically passed away shortly after giving birth, but thanks to the dedication of an incredible foster, they were lovingly bottle-fed and have grown into affectionate, human-centered kittens. Mooncake’s siblings have found their forever home, and now it’s her turn to find hers! What Mooncake Needs in a Forever Home: - A similarly aged kitten companion is non-negotiable! Mooncake thrives with a kitten buddy to play and snuggle with. - She’s wonderfully adaptable and would do well in a home with children, dogs, or other cats. - Experienced adopters who are comfortable following veterinary care recommendations are essential. Important Medical Note: Mooncake has been diagnosed with a tiny hole in her heart. This condition isn’t uncommon in kittens and may resolve on its own as she grows. However, her adopter must commit to follow-up echocardiograms to monitor her progress. Rest assured, all medical records will be provided. If you’re ready to welcome an incredible kitten into your life and have a little buddy ready to match Mooncake’s energy and affection, she’s the perfect choice. Mooncake promises endless cuddles, playful zoomies, and a lifetime of love. ---------- If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://thecatconnection.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Following the instructions and filling out this application rather than emailing us will get you a quicker response. Please also consider fostering as an alternative to adoption. To learn more, go to: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/ Adoption Fee (effective 3/15/24) < 12 mos. $375 1-4 yrs $300 5-9 yrs. $250 10+ yrs. $125 These fees fund spay/neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two! The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our website: http://thecatconnection.org/
